Cassette-To-Cassette Duplication
What is the difference between Cassette-to-Cassette
duplication (CTC) and audio cassette manufacture
?
Audio cassette manufacture (also known as loop-bin
duplication) is suitable for large production runs and is achieved
by preparing a duplicating master, then duplicating from that master
onto bulk hubs of cassette tape at high speed. The duplicated hubs
are then wound into printed/labeled cassette shells (C-0s) using
automatic loading (winding) machines. This provides the best possible
sound quality and allows cassettes to be tailored to the exact program
length.
High speed cassette-to-cassette duplication is suitable
for spoken word programs and is recorded in mono. Cassette-to-cassette
duplication is less expensive than loop-bin duplication for shorter
runs of 1-50 cassettes.
CTC avoids the preparation of a duplicating master
– cassettes are copied directly from an audio cassette original
onto several cassettes simultaneously at high speed. We use standard
length C-15, C-30, C-60 and C-90 blank cassettes and select the
length that is closest to the program length.
CTC cassettes can be assembled in a variety of cases
and printed or blank adhesive cassette labels can be prepared for
your program.
